Auro PCL Cog 6D Thread
The Auro PCL Cog 6D Thread is an advanced absorbable suture device designed for practitioners requiring precise, multi-vector soft tissue repositioning. The 6D cog architecture distributes cog projections across six spatial orientations along the thread body, enabling simultaneous engagement of tissue in multiple vectors from a single insertion tract. This design is particularly suited for complex lifting procedures where unidirectional or bidirectional cog threads are insufficient to achieve the desired anatomical correction.
6D Cog Architecture
Unlike conventional cog threads with linear or bidirectional barb arrangements, the 6D configuration positions cogs in a helical, multi-planar distribution. This geometry maximizes the contact surface between the thread and the surrounding subdermal tissue, distributing tensile load more evenly and reducing focal stress concentration. The result is a more stable anchoring mechanism, lower risk of thread migration, and a more naturalistic lift vector that conforms to the three-dimensional contour of the treatment area.
Clinical Applications
- Mid-face and cheek lifting
- Jawline definition and jowl correction
- Neck and submandibular contouring
- Brow and temporal lifting
- Body contouring in areas requiring multi-vector tissue support

Polucaprolactone (PCL) threads is one that can last up to more than 2 years. This is because, the chemical bonds and structure in PCL are stronger and more complex, hence it takes a much longer time to be dissolved completely. The slower rate of degradation of the PCL threads also makes it ideal to be inserted to the surrounding tissues over an extended time; achieving a longer lasting result. PCL is also known to be very potent at stimulating collagen production as compared to PDO or PLLA. Once dissolved, the material breaks down into ordinary substances and even after the thread has dissolved, collagen production can last for up to one year.
