Auro PCL Bidirectional Cog 4D Thread
Auro PCL Bidirectional Cog 4D Thread is engineered for practitioners who demand precise, natural-looking facial lifting results. Its dual-direction barb design grips tissue from both sides simultaneously — delivering stronger anchoring, more balanced lift, and reduced risk of thread migration compared to standard unidirectional cog threads.
The Bidirectional Advantage
Unlike conventional cog threads that pull in a single direction, bidirectional barbs engage tissue from opposing angles. This creates a more even distribution of lifting force, resulting in a natural, harmonious contour rather than an artificial or pulled appearance. No anchoring points are required — the barbs themselves provide full structural support.
Why PCL Material?
Polycaprolactone (PCL) degrades slowly and steadily, continuously stimulating collagen production throughout the absorption process. This gradual biological response encourages the skin to rebuild its own support structure — producing a lift that looks and feels organic, not surgical.

Polucaprolactone (PCL) threads is one that can last up to more than 2 years. This is because, the chemical bonds and structure in PCL are stronger and more complex, hence it takes a much longer time to be dissolved completely. The slower rate of degradation of the PCL threads also makes it ideal to be inserted to the surrounding tissues over an extended time; achieving a longer lasting result. PCL is also known to be very potent at stimulating collagen production as compared to PDO or PLLA. Once dissolved, the material breaks down into ordinary substances and even after the thread has dissolved, collagen production can last for up to one year.
